No Time to Waste: Nwosu Outlines Quick-Impact Initiatives for Anambra

Abuja – Mr. John Chuma Nwosu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State, has vowed to take immediate and decisive action if elected. Speaking to reporters yesterday at the Abuja Airport, Nwosu outlined a clear, multi-pronged plan for his first day in office.
“My first day will begin with an Executive Briefing involving key Permanent Secretaries and Heads of critical Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs),” Nwosu stated. He explained this would provide a firsthand account of the state’s operations and finances, complementing the work of his Transition Committee.
Immediately following the briefing, Nwosu said he would sign his first Executive Orders, prioritizing security, transparency, and accountability. These actions, he noted, are designed “to set the tone for a new era of adaptive, responsive, and people-driven leadership.”
On the critical issue of security, the ADC candidate announced plans to immediately reconstitute the State Security Trust Fund Committee. The revamped committee will include experienced retired and serving senior security officers to strengthen the state’s security architecture, with a special focus on enhancing human intelligence at the local level.
Nwosu also committed to civil service reform, promising a committee to review remuneration and retraining programs. This initiative will align with his administration’s proposed e-Government policy aimed at boosting efficiency and transparency.
Emphasizing his pledge to serve a single four-year term, Nwosu assured voters his government would focus on “quick-impact initiatives and low-hanging fruits that will deliver real and tangible change.”
“We intend to be very accessible at all levels,” he concluded. “That is the essence of public service.”
