ANAMBRA GOVT RELEASES UPDATED LIST OF APPROVED LAND LAYOUTS, ESTATES; WARNS AGAINST ILLEGAL TRANSACTIONS
AWKA – The Anambra State Government, through the Ministry of Lands, has released a comprehensive list of 58 approved layouts and estates across the state, while issuing a stern advisory to the public to verify land titles before committing funds to any property transaction.
In a publication signed by the Ag. Director of Town Planning,Tpl. Ifeyinwa M. Onyeji, for the Commissioner for Lands and released on Tuesday via its social media (Facebook) handle. The Ministry referenced its previous gazettes (MLS/TP/631/2021/75 and MLS/TP/631/2021/76), affirming that only the listed developments have been cleared by the State Government for residential and commercial purposes.
The approved locations span various Local Government Areas, including key developments such as the Awka Millennium City Layout Phase II, Anambra Luxury Place Estate (Nkwelle G.R.A), and the Abadom Emodi Layout in Onitsha.

The Ministry further noted that several other estates, including Berry Prime Estate (Agu-Awka), Beverly Hills Estate (Enugwu-Agidi), and CBN Staff Social Welfare Estate (Awka), are currently undergoing documentation and are expected to receive formal grants of approval soon.
“Members of the public are advised in their best interest to conduct a search at the Ministry of Lands before any land transactions in the State. Owners of private layouts/estates that are yet to commence the registration process are advised to ensure approvals are obtained to avoid sanctions”, Tpl. Onyeji, stated.
The Ministry emphasized that this move is part of the efforts to sanitize the real estate sector and protect citizens from land grabbers and unapproved urban developments.
