ADC PLEDGES TO UPHOLD THE INDEPENDENCE OF GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS IF ELECTED ON NOVEMBER 8

After a meticulous analysis of the pertinent concerns articulated by Hon. Bernard Udemezue, the representative of Ayamelum Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly (ANHA), it is unequivocally evident that under the governance of Charles Chukwuma Soludo, there is an alarming lack of tolerance for dissenting opinions; only the Governor’s perspective holds any significance.
In an alarming consolidation of power, the Governor assumes the roles of commissioners, legislators, judiciary, and even Local Government Chairmen, relegating other state officials to positions of insignificance, devoid of substantive influence. This troubling precedent established by Governor Soludo starkly contrasts with the legacies of his predecessors, including Sen. Chris Ngige, Peter Obi, and Chief Willie Obiano, who respectively fostered an environment in which the State Assembly and its ancillary bodies could function autonomously, contributing effectively to the state’s progress and development.
Nevertheless, these recent developments have made it increasingly apparent that Ndi Anambra are earnestly searching for credible alternatives ahead of the November 8 gubernatorial polls, with attention progressively gravitating toward the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Mr. John Chuma Nwosu and Dr. Geoffrey Ndubisi Nwobu have consistently demonstrated remarkable integrity and democratic principles, pledging to ensure that all institutions operate independently, fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities devoid of external interference.
As the beacon of the nation, Anambra State urgently requires authentic Democrats who will guide us from our current political quagmire to a prosperous future, and luckily, the ADC embodies this yearning aspiration.
