FOOD SUFFICIENCY: JOHN NWOSU AND GEOFFREY NWOBU COMMITTED TO REINVIGORATING OUR AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IF ELECTED COME NOVEMBER 8

The agricultural sector in Anambra has seen a troubling lack of progress under Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration, leaving Ndi Anambra feeling disillusioned and frustrated. After three years in office, the most notable agricultural initiative has been a small farm situated within the Government House, managed solely by the First Lady. This limited effort starkly contrasts with the vibrant agricultural potential present in areas like Anambra North Senatorial District and parts of Awka North Local Government Area, both known for their agricultural productivity. Such neglect threatens not only farmer livelihoods but also the overall food security and economic stability of our state.

Since taking office in March 2022, the Soludo administration has failed to provide the stable policies, funding, and support that farmers need. Rather than fostering an environment conducive to agricultural innovation and development, the administration has overlooked the sector’s potential, leaving farmers in despair. This has further exacerbated the challenges faced by those who depend on agriculture for their livelihoods and the local economy, revealing an urgent need for transformative change in leadership.

In light of this pressing situation, it is crucial for Ndi Anambra to support visionary leaders like Mr. John Chuma Nwosu and Dr. Geoffrey Ndubisi Nwobu, who are committed to revitalizing the agricultural sector. With their innovative ideas and practical solutions, Nwosu and Nwobu aim to harness the comparative advantages of all local government areas, ensuring that the agricultural excellence found throughout Anambra is recognized, supported, and fully developed.

As we approach the Governorship elections on November 8, the choice for the people of Anambra becomes increasingly clear. The dire state of agriculture under Governor Soludo underscores the necessity for change. By embracing the leadership of John Chuma Nwosu and Dr. Geoffrey Ndubisi Nwobu under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), we can revitalize the agricultural sector, empower communities to reclaim their livelihoods, and secure a better future for all.
